Kaleidoscope Youth Dancers Flying High

Our Youth Dance Company are a talented bunch of high flyers; John Sawney (from our Youth Dance Company) has started a three year degree course at London School of Contemporary Dance (The Place.)  John will study contemporary dance, creative dance, dance technique and ballet. He plans to have a career as a contemporary dancer and choreographer in the future. Well done John - we are all really proud of you!

Another of our Youth Dance Company - Molly Walker has recently completed a UK tour with Sadlers Wells' National Youth Dance Company. Over 500 young people auditioned for a place in NYDC and Molly was one of thirty who were selected. She trained with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui during her college holidays last year and toured all around the UK, including Sadlers Wells and the lake stage at Latitude Festival. Molly is planning to go on to study contemporary dance at a conservatoire next year. Fantastic work Molly!

Neath Champion-Weeks has won a place in the National Youth Theatre based at The National in London's South Bank. She spent some of her summer at the National working with top theatre professionlas devising a production. Neath has also been a CAT (Centre of Advanced Training) member at Laban Conservatoire of Dance in Greenwich for four years. She travels up to Laban every Saturday to train in dance and plans a career in either contemporary dance, or musical theatre.

Ellie Barton and Lara Caplin-Bligh have all won places on the CAT Scheme and they join Molly and Neath at Laban each Saturday.

Libby Mills has gained a place on the degree course at Laban and is also studying to be a dancer.

A big well done to you all!
