Announcing the Kaleidoscope Poetry Slam Competition Winner
We are thrilled to announce the winner of our Poetry Slam Competiton as Emily Goodman.
Emily wrote, performed, filmed and edited her own poem called 'Dear Corona Virus'. She is 12 years old and is a member of Kaleidoscope’s Year 7 Drama Group and our Youth Dance Collective.
We chose Emily’s poem as the winner from all of the entries because we felt her poem was engaging, thought-provoking and moving. We were also impressed with how Emily performed the poem on film, and with the inventive editing techniques she used.
Emily wins a fabulous chocolate hamper! Everyone who entered the Poetry Slam Competition will be awarded a special certificate. We are so proud of all the young people who took part in our first poetry competition - well done all!
