We offer a range of Contemporary Dance Classes for boys and girls:
See our Timetable for further details.
Our contemporary dance classes offer participants a variety of freedom in their movement and technique. Students will improve their strength, flexibility and core stability. As well as learning routines, dancers will also explore their own choreographic ideas. With inspiration drawn from well known choreographers like Richard Alston, Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham and Hofesh Shechter.
For younger children, we often use characters or themes from stories or pictures to inspire them to dance. Children learn new moves, new techniques, how to sequence and they also develop their sense of rhythm and musicality whilst having an enormous amount of fun!
These exciting dance classes are led by our inspiring professionals who encourage each student to develop their dance skills at their own pace and create fabulous dances to be proud of. With regular opportunities of sharing work to parents and siblings in our end of term Show Cases and in our big shows - what’s not to like?
